Internship

We provide:​

We are looking for individuals who are: 

  • Passionate about disability rights, neurodiversities, mental health or human rights.
  • Posses unique skills such as communication, social media management, design, copywriting, research, etc.
  • Able to commit to flexible working hours.

Trainee Therapist

We provide:​

  • Flexible working hours.
  • Receive compensation for every conducted session.
  • Participate in peer/ therapist supervision

We are looking for individuals who are: 

  • Completing or completed your practicum
  • Currently pursuing Masters Degree in Counselling, Counselling Psychology, or Guidance and Counselling, or Clinical Psychology at an accredited university.
  • Working closely with your university supervisor.
  • Able to do a minimum of five (5) therapy sessions per week.
  • Able to stay with us for at least four (4) months.
  • Able to speak in Bahasa Melayu and at least one additional language

Registered Therapist

We provide:​

  • Flexible working hours.
  • Flexible mode of therapy.
  • High payout for your session.
  • Reimbursement for any professional development programs.

We are looking for individuals who are: 

  • Registered with Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM) or the Malaysian Allied Health Profession Council (MAHPC).
  • Experience working with clients from various backgrounds.
  • Able to provide a minimum of five (5) therapy sessions per week.
  • Able to speak Bahasa Melayu and and at least one additional language.

Volunteer​

We provide:​

  • Continuous training.
  • Opportunity to work with a diverse group of community and individuals.
  • Represents MINDAKAMI as our peers or advocates.

We are looking for individuals who are: 

  • Age 18 years old and above.
  • Assist MINDAKAMI’s team in events, marketing and publications.
  • Respect others, compassionate, and display a high degree of level professionalism.
  • Willing to learn about mental health advocacy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Internship

MINDAKAMI only accepts internship placement from accredited universities, from any courses.  We are looking for interns who are: 

  • Passionate about disability rights, neurodiversity, mental health or human rights.
  • Posses unique skills such as communication, social media management, design, copywriting, research, etc.
  • Able to commit to flexible working hours.
  • Able to commit for a minimum three months.

A flexible working hours with a minimum 6 hours per day for four days per week.

 Normal working days (5 days, 8 working hours) will be considered if it is required by the university.

Work-from-home (WFH) refers to the flexibility of working from home. MINDAKAMI are working remotely. We will only consider the applications from those who prefer to work from home.

 

MINDAKAMI is a mental health initiative that primarily generates income through mental health services. In order to maintain our operations, management, and administrative processes, we are currently unable to provide any remuneration except for internet bills.
