About me:

Abby has always been interested in the study of the human mind and behaviour. She believes that any experience, whether positive or negative, along with our family of origin and cultural background, played a part in making each of us unique individuals and experience similar incidents differently.

As someone who grew up in a conservative household, she realised the significance of having a pair of listening ears and being in the presence of empathy, which further fuelled her passion for becoming a counsellor to be there for people needing support and guidance. Taking the initiative to seek help is a courageous move, and she hopes to be of help to provide you with a better understanding of yourself and journey with you to become a better version of yourself in this process.

About me:

I believe that challenges that we face in life only make us grow stronger and it is important to overcome them with effective alternative strategies such as taking the initiative to seek help. Sometimes, we are not given the opportunity to express ourselves, hence I always strive to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for clients to freely express themselves during therapy sessions.

I always adopt an open-mind during therapy sessions to create a safe space for clients. I had experience working with clients with history of obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and suicidal ideation. I also worked with clients who had sexual addiction issues and faced trauma from negative early childhood experiences.
